PROJECT DETAILSRolling Stone magazine has been published since 1967 by Jann Wenner. 1967 was the year when The Summer of Love had begun. It was a social movement that occurred during the summer of 1967 where young people went out onto the streets wearing hippie fashion and claimed peace and love. Rolling Stone magazine was strongly influenced by The Summer of Love and it represented their voice.
However, when I first saw the recent version of the magazines, it seemed like the demographic of readers were senior citizens, reading to retrospect their glorious rock and roll era. Those young people who were against the war got old and the magazine became like them. So my goal for this project was to let the young people read this again and revive the badass spirit.
