PROJECT What Is Grappling?CATEGORYEditorial Design
The project involved archiving a single topic, and I chose grappling, a subject of personal interest, as the theme for the project. For the output, I designed a massive image of a sumo wrestler, along with large and small prints, aiming to express the dynamism of grappling through size. The large print explains a brief history of grappling, while the small print features edited captures from a Jiu-Jitsu match. I aimed to convey the tension between the two athletes through the contrasting colors of red and blue, and I distorted the athletes' bodies to maximize the aesthetic beauty and tension.
